Hello Lads! with all my gigs and technical problems with my laptop, Finally I can published once again with musicians interviews, right now we will ask Nicolas Villamizar, which I know Him from 2018 La Semana Beatle in Buenos Aires Argentina, and meet again in International Beatleweek 2019 in Liverpool England. He play bass for The Nowhere Boys, who recently play in International Beatleweek 2019 in Liverpool, me and my brother and cousin said, if Nico go to Indonesia, He will instantly famous, because He will be surrounded by girls, Honestly! lol...(so don't go to Indonesia please HA!)
so Here it is..

Please describe yourself Amigo
My name is Nicolas Villamizar, born in 1980 in Bucaramanga, Colombia in South America but I've lived most of my life in Bogota (the capital of Colombia). I am a musician and I work as a High School English teacher, I am a massive geek.

How do you get into music? How long have you've been playing?
I guess music caught me very early on, my birth father is a musician and the music influence was there since very little, I started playing guitar at age 12, but I've been singing since I was a little baby, in a way I've been playing all my life

Do you have favorite musicians that you look up to? role model?
Oh! I have a lots! When I was a little kid I wanted to be John Lennon, but I'd say the most influential musicians for me is Paul McCartney. The Beatles in general have been role models for me. When I was a Teenager I got pretty hard into punk-rock, and I would say Greg Graffin from Bad Religion, Billy Joe from Green Day and Tim Amstrong from Rancid have been very influential in my process too.

What Instruments do you play and have?
Well I play guitar and bass, I am also proficient in piano and drums, but my main instrument is my voice. I have a Hofner Bass, Icon Bass, a Washburn 4 string bass, an Epiphone Casino Guitar and a Gibson Flying V, Those are my main instruments, but I also have an electric drum set and some keyboards.

What band are you in now?
I am currently playing in 2 bands, Blast 55 which is a SkatePunk from Colombia and The Nowhere Boys which is a Beatle tribute band. On the next days I have a reunion gig with my long time Melodic punk band "Octubre Negro" but no plans to get back together full time as of yet.

What do you think about music scene today?
It lacks passion and commitment both from musicians and audiences, at least here in Colombia.

Name your 5 albums that change your life or influence you?

Sgt Peppers lonely hearts club band - The Beatles

And out come the wolves - Rancid

Weezer (Blue Album) - Weezer

Quadrophenia - The Who

Nevermind - Nirvana

How many albums or singles do you play in?
I have rocorded 3 albums with "Octubre Negro". I recorded a single with the band "Tres de Corazon" and 3 singles with "Blast 55". I also recorded a 3 song e.p which is going to launch pretty soon in platforms with a SkaPunk project of mine named "Roger Rat"

What do you want to say to fellow musicians around the world?
Just play man, make some music and have fun, Be smart about it but enjoy the ride.

What is your biggest achievement so far?
Well I've had a chance to play in the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas and the Argentinian Beatle week twice, but they all get beat by The International Beatle week in Liverpool 2019, That's a big achievement.
